He went to school in Holycross NS and the Vocational School, Thurles. He trained as a stone mason and carved timber also. He travelled to Thailand, Australia, Holland, Germany, Spain and other places around the world. He was diagnosed a number of years ago and underwent surgery in Australia. He then returned home and seemed well but his illness recurred a couple of months ago. He spent spells in St. Joseph&#8217;shospital and Hospice in Limerick where he died on the 4\/11\/2013.
