Seirbh\u00eds Car\u00fal \u2013 Carol Service<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Carol Service will take place on Wednesday night in the Abbey at 7.30p.m.\u00a0 Children are to be in their places for 7.15p.m. that evening.\u00a0 All are most welcome to come along and enjoy this special occasion in the school year.<\/p>\n

Well done to the 2nd<\/sup> class children who concluded their Do This in Memory programme for the first term in the Abbey on Saturday night.<\/p>\n

Laethanta Saoire na Nollag \u00a0–\u00a0 Christmas Holidays<\/strong><\/p>\n

Christmas Holidays begin this Thursday, December 22nd<\/sup>.\u00a0 The children will go home at 12 o clock.\u00a0 We look forward to a visit from a special guest that morning.\u00a0 School will re-open on Monday January 9th<\/sup> for the new term.<\/p>\n

Tuismitheor\u00ed \u2013 P.T.A.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Many thanks to all of the parents who helped out or supported the recent fundraising activities.\u00a0 The following amounts were raised:- Parish Sale of Work \u20ac4,000, Christmas Cards \u20ac580.\u00a0 Don\u2019t forget to return the Swim Sponsorship Cards before Thursday.<\/p>\n

L\u00e1 Fheile Stiofain<\/strong><\/p>\n

This year we celebrate the 25th<\/sup> Anniversary of our Annual St. Stephen\u2019s Day Swim at 3p.m.\u00a0 This will be followed by the Duck Race.\u00a0 Musical entertainment and mulled wine will be available on the day.\u00a0 Please join us by the banks of the Suir.\u00a0 The swimmers would love your support as they brave the icy waters!!<\/p>\n

Global Christmas Project<\/strong><\/p>\n

The children have been busy this month taking part in many extra curricular activities.\u00a0 Some of the children involved in these activities have written an article for the newsletter:-<\/p>\n

Everyday we are looking in the post to see did we get any new envelopes from other schools around the world.\u00a0 We are really excited about what other schools are going to send us.\u00a0 When we open the envelope there is a QR code which lets us look at other schools videos.\u00a0 We have a notice board in the hall and we put pins on a map to show where we get greetings from.\u00a0 We have really enjoyed watching the videos from Dublin, Australia, America, Budapest and Nenagh.\u00a0 Children all over the world are as excited as we are waiting for Christmas!<\/em><\/p>\n

Junior Infants<\/strong><\/p>\n

Junior Infants in festive spirit this week sent Christmas wishes via Skype to the Junior Infant boys and girls in Miss Bell\u2019s Class in St. Anne\u2019s School, Shankill, Dublin.\u00a0 Both classes sang Christmas songs for each other and watched with delight as their faces filled the Interactive White Boards.\u00a0 We hope to continue this friendship in the New Year.<\/p>\n

Please remember to send in any old games and phones to the school as part of our collection to fund new equipment for the school.\u00a0 Over the holidays a good search might unearth some unwanted phones etc.<\/p>\n

Children\u2019s Safety<\/strong><\/p>\n

Once again we must remind Parents or Guardians that there is no parking in the Community Centre to ensure the safety of all pupils.\u00a0 Children should use the front gate at all times.<\/p>\n

On behalf of the teachers, the SNA\u2019s and our ancillary staff Teresa, Kathleen and Oliver I would like to wish all of the families at Scoil Miche\u00e1l Naofa the very best for Christmas and for the New Year.\u00a0 I hope you all enjoy a well deserved break.<\/p>\n
