{"id":3511,"date":"2020-03-13T11:18:52","date_gmt":"2020-03-13T11:18:52","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.holycrossballycahill.com\/news\/?p=3511"},"modified":"2020-03-13T11:18:52","modified_gmt":"2020-03-13T11:18:52","slug":"cancellation-of-masses-holycross-ballycahill-parish","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.holycrossballycahill.com\/news\/cancellation-of-masses-holycross-ballycahill-parish\/","title":{"rendered":"Cancellation of Masses &#8211; Holycross Ballycahill Parish"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The public celebration of Mass in the Archdiocese of Cashel and Emly (with the exception<br \/>\nof Funeral Mass and the Celebration of Marriage complying with the maximum<br \/>\nattendance of 100) is suspended until and including Sunday 29th March, with immediate<br \/>\neffect.<br \/>\nIt is necessary to cancel both weekend and daily Masses as it is not possible to comply with<br \/>\nthe public health authority\u2019s requirement to have less than 100 people gathering indoors in<br \/>\nboth town and country churches across the Archdiocese.<\/p>\n<p>The obligation to be physically present at Mass on Sundays and Holy Days (including St.<br \/>\nPatrick\u2019s Day) is suspended for everybody until further notice.\u00a0Priests will continue to remember the needs of parishioners at Mass celebrated privately.<\/p>\n<p>Parishioners are encouraged to visit their local church for prayer, and also to pray at home,<br \/>\nespecially prayers for the sick, for those who are caring for the sick and for all who are<br \/>\nworking so hard to protect us.
