The A.G.M. of Holycross – Ballycahill G.A.A. Club was held on Wednesday, 28th December with Chairman, Tom Dwyer presiding.
\nSecretary\u2019s Report
\nRecorded a momentus year off the field of play with the opening of the John Doyle Centre after years of magnificent effort by so many people but especially by our Development Committee.\u00a0 On the field of play it had been a disappointing season, the only silverware coming in Autumn with the winning of the County Intermediate hurling league and the Mid Intermediate football title.\u00a0 The growing gaps since we last landed the major mid titles were highlighted for all to see.
\nTreasurer\u2019s Report
\nIn a meticulous report, Treasurer Noel Ryan reported how general tightening saw a much improved current account position on twelve months ago.\u00a0 There was still much work to do but we were certainly going in the right direction.
\nChairman\u2019s Address
\nChairman, Tom Dwyer thanked everyone who helped the club in any way in 2011, including fellow officers, committee, sub committees, caretaker, sponsors, selectors and players.\u00a0 He appealed for continued support for our fundraising efforts, especially our club lotto and urged everyone possible to promote membership of our gym.\u00a0 He paid particular credit to outgoing Treasurer, Noel Ryan for four fantastic years work and also thanked Jimmy Burke for his great help as a local Garda down the years.\u00a0 Presentations were made to both men.
\nSub-Committee Reports
\nDevelopment Committee – Tom Comerford thanked all who had brought the Centre to fruition and appealed for help in clearing the debt on the building in coming years.
\nLotto Committee Chairman – Declan Ryan reported another hugely successful year with all proceeds being put back into the running of the club.
\nJuvenile Club Chairman – Paul Mulcahy gave a rundown on another successful year for the Juvenile Club, with titles won in U\/12 and U\/14 grade and some very successful fundraisers held.\u00a0 He thanked all who helped the Juvenile Club in any way in 2011.
\nElection of Officers for 2012
\nPresident, Fr. Breen, Vice-President, Fr. Tierney, Chairman, Tom Dwyer, Vice-Chairman (2), M. Hassett and P. Byrne, Secretary, Donal Ryan, Asst. Secretary, P.J. Ryan, Treasurer, Eoin Hassett, Registrar, John Butler, P.R.O. Noel Dundon, A.S.A.P. Officer, Eoin Hassett, Mid Board Rep. Johnny Doyle, County Board Rep. Johnny Doyle.
\nChairman thanked outgoing Registrar Jim Ryan and wished his successor John Butler well.
\nSpeakers such as John Ryan, Johnny Doyle and Micheal Lowry complemented the great work done in 2011 and wished the club well for 2012, hoping for more obvious camaraderie and effort on the field of play.

\nMembership fees would remain unchanged for 2012.\u00a0 Adult Players – 60 euro; U\/21 Players – 40 euro; Minors – 30 euro; Non-Players – 35 euro.\u00a0 Social Membership i.e. use of alley but no voting or ticket rights – 50 euro.
