Not cleaning up after your pooch can have detrimental health consequences for the public especially vulnerable people and young children. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To help owners dispose of their dog waste in a safe manner Tipperary County Council have supplied mutt mitt dispensers at convenient locations throughout Holycross village. Mutt mitts are handy plastic gloves that turn into bags for the easy disposal of dog poop. Under the Litter Pollution Acts (1997-2009) it is an offence not to clean up after your dog. If your dog has fouled in a public place it is your responsibility to dispose of it in a proper manner. If you don&#8217;t clean up your dog\u2019s waste you can receive a fine of \u20ac150 or a fine in the District Court of up to \u20ac3,000. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Please act responsibly to keep our villages beautiful and safe for everyone &#8211; clean up after your dog and dispose of the dirt in a suitable sanitary manner.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Please take the time to clean up after your pets!
