Throwback Thursday – Photo from the early 1970’s shows the extent of the excavations inside Holycross Abbey. A major part of the excavation was the exhumation of all the remains that had been buried within the church ruins, and their transference to a new cemetery site to the north of the abbey.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
