Sincere thanks to all who supported and participated in the very successful Clean-Up of the approach roads to Holycross and Ballycahill last Saturday. Both Tidy Villages Groups, Holycross/Ballycahill GAA and Domhan Glas Environmental group had leading roles for the event which was launched by Cathal Barrett.
About 90 people turned out and more than 150 large bags of litter were collected along approx. 80km of road side in under two hours. Follow on initiatives will take place to establish and maintain a Plastic Free, Litter Free local Community.
