St. Patrick’s day was celebrated in fine manner this year with the local highlight of a parade through the streets of Thurles. While Tipperary were doing battle with rivals Waterford in Semple Stadium at the same time it was only the committed who turned up to either venue. Those who remained faithful to the parade were rewarded with a fine display of colour and designs and many people made a special effort to entertain the crowds this year. Local scouts and Ballycahill National School represented the parish very well this year. Our photo’s show some of the locals either participating or enjoying the day’s entertainment. The efforts from Ballycahill NS were rewarded with a prize for ‘Best Small Float’. Well done to all.
