The Ship in Cormackstown was the venue for our Active Retirement Group’s Christmas Party. Over seventy parishioners enjoyed a wonderful meal and a great night’s entertainment was provided by local resident, Donncha O Sullivan. Santa was a very special visitor who took time out of his busy Christmas schedule to share some goodies with those who attended. Over the past five years our Retirement Group have organized summer outings to places of interest such as Irish Distillery, Midleton and Cobh Heritage, Bunratty Castle, Titanic Exhibition in Dublin and Johnstown Castle, Co. Wexford as well as attending popular shows in Dublin and in Bru Boru, Cashel. This was the Group’s fifth Annual Christmas Party and to judge by the wonderful support it received it will continue for many more years. We congratulate and thank the organizing committee for their hard work and dedication and we wish them well in the future.
