Domhan Glas Environmental Community are promoting rain water harvesting. Sincere thanks to Garda Chris Verling for co-ordinating the distribution of the ten 250L Water Butts that we received from Tipperary Coco as part of the Greener Communities initiative in 2021. These large butts are ideal for locations where harvested rain water can be used for those bigger watering needs.
As Domhan Glas Environmental unites a number of parishes it was fitting that, in addition to St. Michael’s N.S, Sue Ryder Homes and Cabragh Wetlands, the Tidy Villages Associations of Littleton, Clonoulty, Rossmore, Two-Mile-Borris, Ballycahill and Holycross all accepted water butts. We take this opportunity to encourage households to act in favour of the environment by harvesting rain water if possible.
