Photo’s of Active Retirement group outing to Bunratty, Cliff’s of Moher and Ennis which took place on Tuesday last June 5th. Over 53 people travelled on a very enjoyable outing. The day began with Mass in Holycross Abbey at 9.30 a.m. With Francis Glasheen Jnr guiding our trip we set out for a shopping experience and coffee break at Bunratty. Fully nourished and with a few items purchased we set off for the west coast of Clare.
On arrival the weather was not of a summer variety, but it soon cleared and we had a most enjoyable few hours at this historic and world renowned site. Just before before 6 o clock we arrived in the Old Ground hotel in Ennis where we enjoyed a tasty and timely meal and clean plates were the order of the day.
With a bus full of contented passangers we set sail for home and arrived safely and thoroughly satisfied. Thanks to all who were responsible for arranging this wonderful day. Another day out is planned to the Phantom of the Opera in Dublin and no doubt it will be a wonderful success.
