This week saw the launch of a initiative for animal herd heath, supported by Duggan Vetinary Ltd. This venture aims to promote animal health working through the local Tipperary Vetinary practices and reaching out through them to the farming community. Guest speakers will attend the first gathering which will take place in The John Doyle GAA facility in Holycross on Wednesday 28th August. The Junior minister for Agriculture Mr. Tom Hayes attended as well as local T.D. Michael Lowry and Mr Jeremy Meehan of Bohar. It is proposed that this is just the first of such meetings and will be followed by other speakers and topics of interest and relevant to the farming community.
