The completion of Fionn’s dome was marked with a fantastic exhibition of all the artwork that took place during the project. Fr. Tierney opened the exhibition with a beautiful blessing and the children performed some music and recited a poem.
During the day Denis the storyteller from Thurles Library came out and entertained the children with stories that ranged from all out energetic to downright eerie. It was a wonderful way to celebrate the space created for sharing stories, crafts and music.
The honour of cutting the ribbon was bestowed upon the much deserving Philip Quinn who has been inspiring the children throughout the project and he had a little help from the youngest member of our school community.
The exhibition was then opened to parents and other visitors and was very well attended. All seemed impressed and it was great for the children to exhibit all their hard work to the wider community.
A huge thanks to all those involved in the project. It has been a great success and a special congratulations to all the children who worked so hard throughout.
