Holycross Ballycahill Ladies Gaelic Football U-14 County Final

Congratulations to our U14 panel and their trainers after their victorious win June bank holiday Monday against Clonmel Og in Littleton.

From start to finish the game can only be described as a nail biting action packed game, which kept us all on the edge of our seats during the game, end score 4-9 to 2-6.  It’s hard to believe this team only started up this year, and has only under their belts a maximum of five games.  Their achievement is outstanding; the future for our club is looking very promising with a county final win for our U-16 team this year and last year a county final win for our U-18 team.

Well done once again to their trainers John Joe O Connor, Pat Morrissey, Catherine Maher and Sharon O Connor.  Team captain Roisin Lowry accepted with great pride the Plate and thanked everyone for coming  and thanked Clonmel Og for such a great game and finally the trainers for their hard work and commitment to the team.  The team, trainers and parents went to Parkers Restaurant in the Golf Club for a celebratory meal a great evening was had by all.  Thanks to all who came and supported the girls on the day it was clear to see that the Ladies Gaelic Football has caught the attention of many parishioners as a large crowd gathered to support and encourage the girls.
