Josephine Moynihan, nee Costello formally of Liskeveen, Horse and Jockey was born on Nov 26 1945. After her secondary school she joined the civil service and worked in Dublin Airport with the weather service. She married Sean Moynihan in 1967 and moved to Holycross where they reared their four children Christine, John, Michael and Gerard. Some months ago Josephine was diagnosed with a serious illness and while she underwent surgery and treatment she was unable to make a recovery. She died in the Hospital of the Assumption, Thurles on Oct 4th 2013. Her funeral took place in Holycross Abbey and she was interred in the local cemetery. To her husband Sean and to her four children, grandchildren, brothers and sisters and in laws we extend our deepest sympathy.
