Peggy Delahunty nee Holohan was born in Galmoy, Co. Laois. She attended primary school in Galmoy school Co. Kilkenny. She trained as a nurse in liverpool and worked in the South of France, London, Kilkenny, Dublin, The Hospital of the Assumption, Padre Pio, Dean of Maxwell, Roscrea, Mt. St. Benedict, Thurles, Limerick Regional. She married in 1974 to Gerry Delahunty and moved to Ballinahow. To her sons, Diarmuid, Eoin and Cathal; her daughters, Gráinne and Orla, and to her husband, Gerry, we extend our deepest sympathies.
