Pilgrim Path Day – Holy Saturday 2018

On Holy Saturday, 31st March 2018, Pilgrim Path Day was marked by a group who walked from the Cathedral, Thurles to Holycross Abbey.

Before departure, the group were invited to take a “ribbon of intention” with them and place it at Holycross Abbey on arrival. The group followed the River Suir as far as Cabragh Wetlands, visiting the Spring lambs along the way at David Clarke’s farm.

After a reflection at Cabragh Wetlands, the group were invited to walk in silence, mindful of their particular intention. On arrival at Holycross Abbey, soup and refreshments were offered to all at the Old Abbey Inn. This was followed by a tour of the Abbey.

The organisers (Cabragh Wetlands, Thurles Parish and Holycross Community Network) would like to thank all involved for taking part in our Annual Pilgrim Path Day Walk.
