St. Michael’s Community Centre recently got a facelift. This was preceeded by the felling of two drooping ash trees that, on expert advice were deemed to be a danger to all who entered the vicinity and to vehicles parked near them. While it was a pity to remove them it became clear as they were removed how dangerous they were. Once they were removed it became possible to rearrange slightly the parking area and tarmacadam was put down and it is acknowledged that the general surrounds have been enhanced. Our pictures show a before and after view of the building and it is hoped that it will be present for many years to come.
