On St. Stephens’ day the annual swim took place on the banks of the River Suir in Holycross. This year marked the 25th Anniversary of the swim that is a very important fundraiser for Holycross National School. The occasion was marked in grand style. Mulled wine was enjoyed by all on the day. At 3 p.m. the 13 brave and hardy swimmers dived in. The group were led by school Principal Ger Corbett. The swim was quickly followed by the Duck Race. The swimmers were delighted with the support of all the locals on the day.
