The sun is shining and all at Holycross Abbey are preparing to welcome pilgrims this Friday 8th September for the first day of the Holycross Solemn Novena to Our Lady of Perpetual Help which will run from Friday 8th to Saturday 16th September (inclusive). Monday to Saturday sessions at 7am, 10.30am, 4.30pm & 7.30pm, Sunday 7am, 10.30am, 12.30pm, 2.30pm (Blessing of Infants), 7.30pm (please note there is a 12.30pm session on Sunday but no 4.30pm).
Blessing of Infants will take place on Sunday 11th at 2.30pm, Penitential Service on Friday 15th at 7.30pm and Anointing of the Sick on Saturday 16th at 2pm. A new addition this year are Remembrance Slips so people can include their deceased loved ones to be remembered at each session. Pilgrims are encouraged to fill up the slips and drop them into the box which will be left near the Altar for the duration of the Novena.
