Holycross/Ballycahill Camogie Club launched their first ever book on Wednesday the 14th of December, in Holycross Community Centre. This book is a photographic collection of photos relating to 25 years of Camogie in our club. The guest speakers on the night were our Club President Peggy Shanahan, and our Local TD Michael Lowry who launched the Book. The night was full of activities, with Ballycahill National School opening the night in song, thanks to their wonderful teachers and pupils. Our next act on the night was St Michaels National school in Holycross, 5th and 6th class girls who recited two poems, thanks goes out to their teachers and all girls involved in the act, and finally to our local folk group in Ballycahill, these talented musicians played us out to an instrutmental tune and christmas carol. I hope the book rekindles fond memories for all, I know it has for me and our club committee members of 2011, during the production of this book. The book is now on sale (limited edition) in the local shops in Holycross and Ballycahill or by contacting Caroline on 086-0749389.
