Seirbhís Carúl – Carol Service
The Carol Service will take place on Wednesday night in the Abbey at 7.30p.m. Children are to be in their places for 7.15p.m. that evening. All are most welcome to come along and enjoy this special occasion in the school year.
Well done to the 2nd class children who concluded their Do This in Memory programme for the first term in the Abbey on Saturday night.
Laethanta Saoire na Nollag – Christmas Holidays
Christmas Holidays begin this Thursday, December 22nd. The children will go home at 12 o clock. We look forward to a visit from a special guest that morning. School will re-open on Monday January 9th for the new term.

Lá Fheile Stiofain
This year we celebrate the 25th Anniversary of our Annual St. Stephen’s Day Swim at 3p.m. This will be followed by the Duck Race. Musical entertainment and mulled wine will be available on the day. Please join us by the banks of the Suir. The swimmers would love your support as they brave the icy waters!!
Global Christmas Project
The children have been busy this month taking part in many extra curricular activities. Some of the children involved in these activities have written an article for the newsletter:-
Everyday we are looking in the post to see did we get any new envelopes from other schools around the world. We are really excited about what other schools are going to send us. When we open the envelope there is a QR code which lets us look at other schools videos. We have a notice board in the hall and we put pins on a map to show where we get greetings from. We have really enjoyed watching the videos from Dublin, Australia, America, Budapest and Nenagh. Children all over the world are as excited as we are waiting for Christmas!

Junior Infants
Junior Infants in festive spirit this week sent Christmas wishes via Skype to the Junior Infant boys and girls in Miss Bell’s Class in St. Anne’s School, Shankill, Dublin. Both classes sang Christmas songs for each other and watched with delight as their faces filled the Interactive White Boards. We hope to continue this friendship in the New Year.

Jack & Jill Foundation
Please remember to send in any old games and phones to the school as part of our collection to fund new equipment for the school. Over the holidays a good search might unearth some unwanted phones etc.
Children’s Safety
Once again we must remind Parents or Guardians that there is no parking in the Community Centre to ensure the safety of all pupils. Children should use the front gate at all times.
On behalf of the teachers, the SNA’s and our ancillary staff Teresa, Kathleen and Oliver I would like to wish all of the families at Scoil Micheál Naofa the very best for Christmas and for the New Year. I hope you all enjoy a well deserved break.
